Manager, Future Economy Lab
About JESSICA
Jessica works with the Future Economy Lab, our global research and design lab that innovates the financing and development of new economies. Her role involves facilitating a collaborative learning process that engages communities and stakeholders to co-design financial mechanisms and models for more inclusive and resilient economies.
Prior to SecondMuse Capital, Jessica was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Namibia focused on economic empowerment and strengthening entrepreneurial ecosystems while respecting local culture, customs, and contexts. She also supported several grassroots ecosystem-building efforts across Sub-Saharan Africa in the sectors of innovation, arts and culture, and social entrepreneurship. Jessica began her career as a strategy and execution consultant at JPMorgan Chase & Co. She holds a Professional Certificate in Futures Studies and Speculative Design from The New School's Parsons School of Design and a Bachelor of Arts in both Economics and Psychology from Wellesley College.
Jessica believes that mental model paradigm shifts are essential to systems change efforts, and she is passionate about amplifying the work of social innovators who are influencing and changing dominant cultural narratives.
When Jessica isn’t at work, she loves to challenge herself and her worldview through solo travel. She constantly seeks experiences of awe that make her feel small and more connected to the world around her.
